Amber Life

I enjoyed photographing the one piece of amber I had so much, I acquired a whole consignment of raw amber. I put it into a lapidary tumbler but to my great surprise, this amber was full of life!

There were insects, ants, spiders, crabs and all manner of life forms trapped forever inside their timeless amber world - together with air and water bubbles from their time.
